India Women beat Bangladesh Women by 10 wickets

That is it from this game then! Quite a one-sided semi-final in which India finished on top. the question now is who will they play in the final? Pakistan or Sri Lanka? The two face off later on in the day at 7 pm IST (1.30 pm GMT) and we expect that to be a cracker. You can join us an hour early for all the build-up and updates. Till then, goodbye and take care!
The skipper of India Women, Harmanpreet Kaur says the bowlers did a brilliant job and she feels proud of them. Adds that training and rehab are the most important things on those off-days. Says the bowlers are delivering what's been discussed in team meetings and that's a good sign as a unit. Mentions that they just want to keep doing what they have done so far and lift the trophy.
Renuka Singh IS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH FOR HER SPLENDID BOWLING PERFORMANCE. Renuka Singh had figures of 4-1-10-3. She is up for a chat and says she is really happy to perform on such a stage. Adds she was trying to stick to her plans and work on what she had practiced and it worked. Says that she likes to bowl four on a trot right at the top as the ball helps a bit as well.
The skipper of Bangladesh Women, Nigar Sultana says they failed with the bat and those wickets at the top in the Powerplay cost them this game. Adds it gets really difficult to bounce back after those wickets at the top and feel that the opposition played to their mind as the way they play against Malaysia and those opponents is different from what they do against a team like India. Reckons that Shorifa Khatun was unlucky to not to get strike in the last over and she possesses some good ball-striking ability.
Presentation ...
Yes, there is a lot of difference in class between the two sides but Bangladesh will be disappointed they did not even compete. With the bat, they were very poor and with the ball, they will be disappointed they could not take a wicket at least. Yes, India were massive favourites heading into this game but we expected Bangladesh to show some fight.
India storms into yet another final! A very, very convincing win for them! Their bowlers set it up by restricting Bangladesh to a very low score. Then, it was all about their openers, actually, Smriti Mandhana. She took the attack to the bowlers and scored a fine half-ton. Shafali Verma played second fiddle and did so nicely to give India a strong win.
