Australia Women beat India Women by 5 wickets

Right then. That is all we have from this wonderful match of cricket. The series now moves to the third and final ODI. The last ODI will be played on 26th September at 10:05 am Local (12:05 am GMT). Do join us for the same! Till then, take care and goodbye!
Meg Lanning, the Australia Women skipper, says that they lost early wickets and credits the Indian bowlers for that. Adds that they have great depth in their team and it helps the cause. Says that India played really well for the majority of the game but she is happy with this win. Signs off by saying that it was certainly the most eventful game that they have been a part of and they are expecting the last game to be a really good contest.
Mithali Raj, the skipper of India Women, says that it was a great game of cricket as almost 550 runs were scored. Credits the Australian team for how they played and adds that they really played well in this match. Adds that they are looking forward to playing the last game and also informs that they won't be treating it as a dead rubber. Says that the batting unit has done well, especially Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh. Signs off by saying that she was not expecting the last ball to be a no ball but it is part and parcel of the game.
No prizes for guessing! Beth Mooney is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. She starts by giving credit to Carey for the way she batted. Adds that she did have the best of time in the pre-season and the support staff has been quite supportive to her. Signs off by saying that she enjoyed her time out in the middle.
NEVER GIVE UP! That seems to be the mantra by which any Australian plays this great game of cricket and this match was an exhibition of just that. They lost 4 wickets very early and it seemed like we were headed for an early finish. But, Beth Mooney took the responsibility on her shoulders and put on a stunning display of ODI batting. She was first joined by Tahlia McGrath, who played a brilliant knock of 74 runs to make sure that the Aussies are in the hunt. After the departure of Tahlia McGrath, it was time for Nicola Carey. She joined Mooney to take the game deep. Mooney got to her ton and she along with Carey got the hosts over the line in what was a very dramatic final over. It was some brilliant batting by Beth Mooney and useful contributions by Tahlia McGrath and Nicola Carey that made sure that the Aussies won on the last ball of the game!
India Women would be heartbroken with that loss. They started brilliantly, bowled well in the middle phases and were in the game till the last ball but could not get through. Jhulan Goswami, Meghna Singh, Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma took 1 wicket each and bowled well throughout the game. They kept the Aussies under pressure till the last over but would be disappointed with how that last over played out. From jubilation, it was dejection in their camp and they will be heartbroken.
Oh, how the scenes have changed! Before the no ball was called, the Indian camp was over the moon with their celebration but now, Australia Women are celebrating! They have continued their winning streak and this win has been nothing short of sensational. Take a bow, Beth Mooney! Heartbreak for India Women as they had the game in their control till the very end but have lost it. The dejected faces say it all.

OH MY WORD! OH MY WORD! OH MY WORD! WHAT DID WE JUST SEE? So much drama, so, so much drama in the last few overs. Oh let me catch my breath! The Aussies have done it! It seemed unlikely but they have done it in the end. An incredible win for them and their winning streak continues. Full ball, on middle. Nicola Carey heaves it to wide of Jemimah Rodrigues at long on. Jemimah runs to her left, collects the ball and throws it to Jhulan Goswami at the non-striker's end. She cannot stop the batters from taking two runs. Australia Women win by 5 wickets!!
The umpires now are having a chat with the players. They are clarifying how many runs are needed off the last ball. After the catch was taken, Nicola Carey did not complete the run so 2 will be needed off the Free Hit!

TAKEN! NO BALL! What is happening out there? A high full toss, on off. Carey hits it to mid-wicket and the catch is taken. Indian players start celebrating but the umpires want to check if it was a no ball as the ball seems just over the waist. The replays roll in and the TV umpire calls it a no ball. Carey was standing a bit deep in the crease but it still looks quite high. So, the last ball is a FREE HIT!
Is that a no ball? It is a high full toss and the catch of Nicola Carey has been taken. Ooohh, this looks close. This is indeed very close. If it is not a no ball, then the game is over as the catch has been taken. Tell you what, I would not want to be a TV umpire at this moment. NO BALL! I repeat, it is a NO BALL!

Just the bye! Goswami bowls the yorker, around leg. Nicola Carey misses the flick after backing away to the leg side. The batters set off for the bye. The keeper misses the shy at her end. 6 from 3 now!
The Aussie physio is out as a part of the concussion protocol. Nicola Carey has been hit on the helmet by a beamer from Jhulan Goswami.

NO BALL! That must have slipped out of her hands! Jhulan Goswami goes for the yorker but the ball slips out of her hands and she ends up bowling a high full toss. It is so high that it hits Nicola Carey directly on the helmet. So, the next ball will be a Free Hit!

Another fumble! Full ball, on the pads. Whipped towards deep mid-wicket. The batters run for the second and the throw to the bowler is a good one but Jhulan Goswami does not collect it. 8 from 4 now!

Sloopy work by Richa Ghosh! Low full toss, on the pads. Mooney heaves it to deep mid-wicket. The batters go for the second, the throw comes to the keeper. Ghosh moves forward to collect and then has a shy at her end but misses. The batters take the third run too!
Right then. 13 from the last over. Who will bowl? Mithali Raj goes back to Jhulan Goswami to bowl the last over.
