Chahal had revealed that Franklin and Symonds had tied him in a room and forgot about him while being drunk.
Durham County has recently stated that they will speak to head coach James Franklin privately over the physical harassment allegations against him from Yuzvendra Chahal of late. Franklin was part of the Mumbai Indians squad with Chahal in 2011 and the leg spinner has recently recalled the incident during the Champions League in 2011 when Franklin and Andrew Symonds had tied Chahal’s hands and legs in a room and had totally forgotten about it in the drunken state.
Durham mentioned that the club will speak with their head coach Franklin privately over the recent allegations made against him and noted that they will collect more facts on it as well. Franklin was appointed Durham coach in early 2019 and he played 31 Tests, 110 ODIs, and 38 T20Is for New Zealand in his international career. Apart from that, Frankin has played 20 games for the Mumbai Indians in the 2011 and 2012 editions.
Meanwhile, Chahal’s allegations have shocked the cricketing fraternity and a lot of experts have been demanding Chahal reveal the name of the drunk Mumbai Indians mate who had bullied him.
