Shan Masood, who was in red hot form in the recent County Championship 2022, is set to lead the Derbyshire side in the upcoming T20 Blast 2022. The Pakistan batter is at top of the run charts in Division two of the County Championship and he certainly has enjoyed his stint in the country so far.

Shan has an aura about him; he has a stature and the players support him: Mickey Arthur
Derbyshire’s newly appointed head coach Mickey Arthur noted how Masood stands above out from other names and mentioned the players backing him as well. He added about Leus du Plooy being appointed as the vice-captain of the side and revealed his excitement to see how the players go about their business in the T20 format. Arthur who was associated with the Sri Lanka team as the head coach had stepped down last year to join the county side.
“Shan has an aura about him; he has a stature and the players support him,” Arthur was quoted by the Cricketer. “He comes in as captain and Leus du Plooy will be vice-captain, so there’s a leadership change there, and one that I’m excited to see go about their work in white-ball cricket.”
Meanwhile, the T20 Blast gets underway on the 25th of May and will go on until the 16th of July.
