All the credit goes to the spinners, Mann, Jangid, Panesar, Shukla took 9 out of possible 10 wickets and kept it tight throughout the innings. They just needed to keep it simple and tight as the ball was turning enough to trouble the batters. Later, chasing a minnow total, Worker, Trego and Mann did the job without much trouble. A fantastic performance from Toyam Hyderabad and they boost their confidence with four wins in a row.
There is a saying, the batters win you matches but the bowlers win you titles. That is what happened today for Toyam Hyderabad as their spinners with a lot of help from the pitch ran riot against a heavy hitting India Capitals team who collapsed after a good start. Only Raval and Colin de Grandhomme got a couple digit scores but once they both fell, the other batters found it difficult to play the spinners. In the end, India Capitals succumbed under 100, and it was almost impossible to defend it.
A thumping performance from Toyam Hyderabad and they are into Qualifier 2. They will face Konark Suryas Odisha for a place in finals. For India Capitals, they played well throughout the season but were completely outplayed today against the Hyderabad spinners.
