Right then! That is all we have from this exciting series. Dean Elgar collects the trophy and he joins his teammates to celebrate the victory. Bangladesh clinched the ODI series, while South Africa put in a domination show and have managed to seal the Test series. It's been tough Test series for Bangladesh, but they still do have positives to take from this tour. Alright then, with this we are done with yet another series, but there is still a lot of cricket happening around. You can keep checking the fixture page for all the upcoming matches. Until we meet again, it's goodbye and cheers!
Dean Elgar, the skipper of South Africa, says that it's been a good few months since he has taken over the captaincy. Mentions that Keshav Maharaj and Simon Harmer just had to trust the process, and luckily the conditions did favour them, but overall they have been exceptional and Maharaj continues to be his No.1 spinner. States that they have a good core and a good group going forward, Keshav Maharaj and Simon Harmer are leading the way for them. Informs that the attitude of the younger guys and the lower-order adding runs impressed him a lot. Concludes by saying that they have a good team now, and a lot of options that will help them in the upcoming tours away from home.
Keshav Maharaj is the Player of the Match and Player of the Series as well. He says he is really happy as his team crossed the line. It was a clinical performance in all departments. Adds that Elgar and the coach had a chat with him and appreciated him and told him to continue doing the right things. Mentions that he repeats the process, just a few little tweaks but he is happy to get the reward. Tells that he doesn't look at the stats, he will look at it at the end of his carer. On Harmer, he says he is a world-class bowler and he is working hard and hopes he gets his reward as well. Says that with the bat, he middle some shots but was disappointed not to get the triple-digit.
Mominul Haque, the skipper of Bangladesh says he thinks they didn't play well as a team in both the matches, and he is disappointed but they also have to look forward. Adds that they play really well as a team but there was no partnership with the bat or the ball. Tells that they should be able to play in any condition in international cricket. Mentions they have to focus on the process, they were thinking of the result here rather than the process.
Time for the presentation...
Dean Elgar decided not to enforce follow-on and they went out there to bat again and added quick runs. The intent was clear from them, they wanted to add quick runs, declare and grab a few wickets at the end of Day 3. That's exactly what happened. They got a lead of over 400 runs, declared, and managed to take three wickets at the end of Day 3. Coming into Day 4, South Africa bundled out Bangladesh for just 80 runs and clinched the series convincingly. Not to forget, South Africa have put a dominating performance in the full series without many of their key players. While Bangladesh failed to perform as a team and will be disappointed with their show.
It all started with South Africa putting up a mammoth total of 453, with all the batters making vital contributions. Dean Elgar, Keegan Petersen and Temba Bavuma notched up their half-centuries and Keshav Maharaj was the one who scored the most runs in the first innings. He scored 84 runs and guided South Africa over 400. Bangladesh came into bat and were troubled a lot by the seamers. They lost the first five wickets to the seamers and the last 5 to the spinners. Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Yasir Ali did put on a fight with the bat and they failed to go till the end. South Africa ended with a healthy lead of 236 runs. With all the batters contributing and most of the bowlers grabbing a wicket, it was a complete team performance for South Africa.
7 wickets for Keshav Maharaj and 3 wickets for Simon Harmer, the story was the same in the first Test as well. Bangladesh had no answers whatsoever. The spin twins, have wrapped up the Test match just within 1 hour of the first session on Day 4. Bangladesh batters were all over the place, a few of them just gave their wickets away in trying to play big shots, while others were simply bamboozled by the spinners.
SOUTH AFRICA WIN THE MATCH AND SEAL THE SERIES! They have continued their domination in the second Test as well, and once again it's their spinners who have created havoc and have demolished Bangladesh's batting line-up. Not to forget, it was their batters first that piled up over 400 runs and gave the bowlers a lot to fight with. After a historic ODI series win, it's been a disappointing Test series for the visitors.

OUT! LBW! Unbelievable performance from the hosts. Floated ball, on a length and angling around middle. Islam prods to defend near his pads but misses and gets hit on the pads. A huge appeal for LBW and up goes the finger. Islam takes a review, more of an ambitious one. UltraEdge shows no bat while Ball Tracking shows three reds and South Africa win by 332 runs and seal the series as well.
