In India is the second oldest international cricket stadium which is home to the Delhi Ranji team and the Delhi Daredevils, the Feroz Shah Kotla. From its location the stadium gets its name. It is in the locality of the Feroz Shah Kotla, by Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq, a fortress built.
In 1883 having been established, over the years the ground has gone through some heavy reconversion. The locals also call the stadium ‘Kotla’, which means fortress or castle. Between India and the West Indies in 1948 the first international game here was a Test match.
