The Sri Lanka Tour of India 2022 will have two-match Test series. India Vs Sri Lanka will play the 1st Test at Mohali. This Test match will be a red ball game that will be played at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium (PCA).

The last match of the Sri Lanka Tour of India 2022 will be held at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, and that will be the Pink Ball Test match starting from 12^th March 2022.

Virat Kohli’s 100 Test Match News – 

Virat Kohli’s milestone Test match will be played at Mohali, and the good news is that the BCCI has allowed crowd to come in the 100^th Test match of the former Indian skipper.

The Indian Board, BCCI had changed the decision of welcoming the spectators for the 100^th Test of Virat Kohli. First, they had decided that the Mohali Test Match would not have any live audience in the PCA Stadium.

Niranjan Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, said that Virat Kohli would play his 100^th Test match in Mohali starting on Friday, and earlier, they had plans of hosting this milestone match of Virat without any spectators. But the State Cricketing Association has allowed the spectators to come in the stadium. However, this will have various factors, according to the present situation in the country.

Jay Shah has also spoken to the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) officials. They have also confirmed the news that the live spectators will be allowed in the stadium to witness the milestone, 100^th Test match of the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

The West Indies Tour of India 2022 was played behind closed doors. The matches in Lucknow didn’t allow any spectators. But due to the dip in the Corona Virus cases in India, many cricketing associations have allowed the crowds in the stadiums.

That is why the matches in the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata had permission to allow the spectators. Even the matches in Dharamshala had crowds despite the climate was too cold over there.

Jay Shah has given his best wishes to the champion cricketer Virat Kohli on the eve of his 100^th Test match. Shah said this is the moment to cherish and celebrate for Indian cricket lovers and fans. Shah hopes that Virat Kohli will continue to play for India in many more matches and in many years more to come.

Jasprit Bumrah also had his say before the official statement from Jay Shah was released. The Indian star bowler had said to focus on things which we can control. The players have no right to decide whether the crowds can come in or not. But the energy levels are up if the spectators are allowed.

In the last Test match, which will be a Day-Night affair, the BCCI will allow 50 percent of the crowds at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for the PInk Ball Test match.
