Right then, that's it from the coverage of this game. The action in SA20 will continue on 18th January, 2024. In match number 10 when Pretoria capitals will be locking horns against Durban's Super Giants. The first ball will be at 9 pm IST. Although, you all know that you can join us early for the build-up. So, see you then! Take care and goodbye.
Jos Buttler, wins the Player of the Match award for his match-winning knock. Starts by saying that he feels good to contribute for a win. Mentions that he came in and did a bit of range-hitting, surely worked well. Adds that he is just trying to enjoy his cricket again, after difficult past two months. Informs captaincy is a privilege, although it got rough for him in the recemt past. Praises the coaching staff and Miller for his captainship.
David Miller, the victorious captain joins in for a chat now. He starts by saying that he is delighted with the win and is glad to gather that extra point as well. Praises the bowlers for their effort. Also, congratulates Buttler and Lubbe for their knock. Mentions that Ngidi has taken leadership in the bowling unit and is doing a brilliant job. States that there is less bounce here, lot of wind, so plenty of factors to take into consideration while playing at this venue.
Faf du Plessis, the captain of Joburg Super Kings is in for a chat. He says that cricket is all about momentum and he feels like the momentum is going away from them. Also mentions that he can see similarities in their defeats. Believes that they surely need to improve as a batting unit. Informs that he expects a couple of batters to put their hand up, and get to 60 or 70s. Mentions that 20s and 30s do not help you in T20 cricket. Says that their record was incredible at home in the previous season and that is the plan once again this campaign.
Stay tuned for the presentations...
Earlier in the game, Joburg Super Kings were under immense pressure with being on 33/3 at the end of the Powerplay. They succumbed under pressure even more. If not for that 71-run knock from Leus du Plooy. They could've even being way under par on this deck. Leus du Plooy made sure that he gives something for his bowlers to fight for but it was not enough. It was Lungi Ngidi who led the bowling attack for Paarl Royals, as he stood out with his three-fer. Obed McCoy chipped in with a couple, athough was a touch expensive.
Joburg Super Kings were no one near their best with the ball in hand. If they wished to make a target of 135 look bigger, they needed the early breakthrough, which they got as well, but could not capitalize on it. The  pitch was much slower in the first innings, but slightly helped the batters in the second innings. Nevertheless, everyone leaked runs for Joburg Super Kings barring the experienced Imran Tahir. There were just three bowlers who chipped in with a wicket each, and eventually they ended up on the losing side once again.
An incredible run-chase from Paarl Royals, and they move to the first spot in the points table - as they have a better NRR than Durban's Super Giants. Nevertheless, still early days, but they continue to remain unbeaten in this edition. Two Englishmen walked out to open for Paarl Royals but only one stood tall till the very end, it was Jos Buttler with his sensational knock of unbeaten 70 runs off just 37 deliveries. Although, this win would not have been possible if not for the second-wicket stand of 87 runs between Jos Buttler and Wihan Lubbe. The latter joined the crease at the very beginning due to the early departure of Jason Roy, but he made sure to do the talking with his bat and stitch a stand, which you can even say turned out to be a match-winning one. There was a period when Paarl Royals lost two wickets in quick succession but the damage was already done with the amount of runs being put on the scoreboard.
WOW! A dominating performance from Paarl Royals in their own backyard. The hosts are able to steal one extra point as well from this game, as Jos Buttler helped his side to complete the run-chase within 16 overs. Although, Joburg Super Kings suffer their fourth straight defeat in this competition. They were neither good with the bat this evening or with the ball. They need to do something about their strategies and work out on some combinations as well, but if they continue in a similar fashion, it is not going to be a sight to behold for any of the Joburg supporters.

SIX! SCORES LEVEL! Jos Buttler making sure that he is the one who seals the deal. Started from the bottom now we here - should be the song he must be humming now. It is a short ball, on the top of off, slower as well. Jos Buttler backs away and hammers it over the long off fence for a maximum. How has he picked this one up? Incredible.
