Right then, that is it from this game. A convincing victory for Durban's Super Giants as they go to the top of the table. The action continues in the SA20 League as we have two games lined up on Saturday, the 27th of January. It will be Sunrisers Eastern Cape versus MI Cape Town at 5 pm IST (11.30 am GMT) and Pretoria Capitals versus Joburg Super Kings at 9 pm IST (3.30 pm GMT), but as you know, you can join us early for all the build-up. Until then, cheers and goodbye!
Quinton de Kock is the POTM for his fantastic knock of 83. He says that the coach asked him to bat at number 4 and that he enjoyed it. Says that he is pretty relaxed and just needed to get clicked to get off to a good start. He adds that he has worked pretty hard for the tournament. Keeps on adding that the pitch played really well and it was inevitably a high scoring ground. Applauds Klaasen and says that he is in the form of his life and hopes he continues to be aggressive with his approach. Ends by saying that they would like to continue with the winning momentum in the next matches.
Keshav Maharaj the skipper of Durban's Super Giants says that they are happy to see the class of QDK. Adds that the credit goes to him as he was superb. He says that the bowlers utilized the conditions well and bowled really well. Says that the pace bowlers were amazing as well and ends by saying that the bonus point was the key and they will take that happily and they will look forward to their next games.
The losing skipper, David Miller, is up for a chat, and he says that they wanted to chase as it looked like a good wicket and thinks that they bowled pretty well except in the first inning, where they leaked too many runs. It adds that chasing 190 is a tall task to do if you keep losing wickets in a row. He says that Paarl is a pretty good place to play cricket and that they have one game left to be played here, and they will look to come back strongly. He adds that they have world-class batters and that they need to be on their marks. He says that nothing concerning of that sort as of now, just a couple of conversations around the field about what the guys are thinking. He further adds that they have been pretty consistent in the competition, and sometimes unfortunate results can happen. It's part and parcel of the game, and ends up saying that his calf is doing well now.
Presentations coming up...
Earlier in the match, Durban's Super Giants won the toss and chose to bat first. They had a shaky start, but JJ Smuts and Quinton de Kock built a strong partnership, with both scoring half-centuries. Klaasen then added quick runs at the end, helping the team reach 190 runs. Bjorn Fortuin was the standout bowler for the Paarl Royals.
The bowlers of Durban's Super Giants did not start well and leaked away 29 in 3 overs, but a tight one by JJ Smuts picking up the wicket of Jason Roy pulled things back to some extent. The turning point was the wicket-maiden by Noor Ahmad, as that built the pressure and wickets started to tumble post that. Being a tricky track, it was bound to assist the slower bowlers as the game progressed, and the spinners came in handy. Marcus Stoinis was the pick of the bowlers, picking up 3. Keshav Maharaj and Reece Topley bowled well and scalped a couple of wickets.
Chasing down a high score on such a tricky track, it had to be the top-notch batters to turn up well, but apart from Jos Buttler, who scored 45, no other batter could go big. The game was evenly poised till the 8th over, but a brilliant wicket-maiden bowled by Noor Ahmad in the 9th to David Miller turned the tables, and things went downward from there on for the Royals. The side lost wickets in a flurry and were left chasing a big one toothless with the majority of the power hitters back in the hut. The lower order tried a bit but could only manage a handful of runs, which were not enough for the side.
The ploy to put Quinton de Kock in the middle order worked wonders for Durban's Super Giants. A brilliant knock from Quinton de Kock on a challenging surface has helped Durban's Super Giants defeat the Paarl Royals by a massive margin of 57 runs! Durban's Super Giants, by virtue of the bonus point, now go on top with 23 points to their name.

OUT! TAKEN! That's it! Durban's Super Giants WIN by a huge margin of 57 runs. Fuller length and outside off with a bit of pace-off, Lungi Ngidi clears his front foot to clear the long off fielder but ends up getting the bottom half on the shot which flies straight to Keshav Maharaj at long off who doesn't move an inch and grabs an easy one. Durban's Super Giants also get a bonus point as they managed to restrict the Paarl Royals below 152 and now they climb to the top of the points table with 23 points.

OUT! YOU MISS I HIT! 9 down and Topley gets his second. Bowls a straighter delivery on off, Obed McCoy goes for a big one to the leg side but only meets thin air and the ball bamboozles the sticks flirting with his outside edge. Durban's Super Giants are just a wicket away from a comprehensive win.
