Chris Wood says they were 10 runs short but still thought they could have defended it out. Tells they could have bowled well to the left-handers, could have used spinners in the back end as well. Shares it's uncertain they could qualify for now but hopes to do their best in the next game.
Imran Tahir is the Player of the Match for his brilliant spell! He says he is pleased the way the win came out and shares it gives a lot of joy to play in front of the home crowd. Tells he used his variation, Masood's wicket was a big one and he just took his change against him and it pleased him. Mentions he does a lot of fitness to keep the cricket going. Feels the dew kicked in while they were bowling but they bowled well though. Ends by saying they are taking all the games seriously.
Hampshire had a decent total to defend but anything under 150 meant they had to be extremely accurate and precise with the ball. The start was just the way they needed. With three wickets inside the six overs, Hampshire started well and bowled well in the middle phase too but the approach from Guyana Amazon Warriors kept them in the gap until the end, and the long tail they possess helped them chase down the score. Hampshire have now lost two games despite doing a lot of things right throughout the game. Earlier, Shan Masood's excellent knock helped Hampshire reach a par total along with the fine cameo from Toby Albert however it wasn't enough eventually.
A really well calculative chase from Guyana Amazon Warriors! They showed a great amount of maturity in this innings. Despite losing three wickets inside the Powerplay, including the big wicket of Moeen Ali, they showed a good approach to chase down a modest total. The middle and tail enders stepped up for them. All of them made some amount of contribution to the win. Shimron Hetmyer, Roston Chase, Gudakesh Motie all played a handy innings but it was Hassan Khan's unbeaten 27 and Shepherd's long lever that powered Guyana Amazon Warriors to the win.
