Durban's Super Giants made an excellent start with the ball and were on top for most of the game. They, however, leaked runs in the final five overs and allowed the Sunrisers Eastern Cape to make a brilliant comeback in the match. Marcus Stoinis was the standout bowler with 2 wickets while Topley and Keshav Maharaj accounted for one apiece. Naveen-ul-Haq and Noor Ahmad had poor outings and this costed Durban's Super Giants to lose their second game in a row. Earlier in the game, Durban's Super Giants posted a competitive score of 159 on the back of a terrific fifty from Wiaan Mulder while Klaasen and Matthew Breetzke chipped in with handy cameos. Simon Harmer was the best bowler for Sunrisers Eastern Cape with 4 for 18 and helped his side keep the Super Giants to a modest score. The Super Giants remain number two in the table but will need to get better in the upcoming games.

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape required 58 off the final 5 overs when Marco Jansen and Tristan Stubbs stepped up and got their side over the line with an unbeaten 66-run stand.
